The Kiss and Kiss and Carry have evolved from my art here is the story......

 Well, first came the art..... My years of gathering all kinds of discarded things from the shores of Jervis Bay inspired the artworks I produced from about 1999 onwards.
 Then came the exhibitions .....Exhibiting the artwork engaged people and led to lots of talking about their interest & desire to they make a difference.
A small group exhibition was held named "Love the Place You Live" . I created an artwork entitled "The Kiss" which was a map of Jervis Bay based on the shape of a kiss, a universal symbol of greeting & sign of affection. (see The Kiss map at www.cherylleighcross.com.au).
The name 'Jervis Bay' usually triggers the reponse from people of 'I love it there!'. It just made perfect sense to connect "The Kiss" artwork & this love of Jervis Bay to ensure it remained a special place for years to come.
 Next followed community projects ..... Putting this art inspired desire into action led to many creative events that gave people the chance to show they cared about the place they lived.
 The projects engaged people to ask the question ....."What should we buy?" people wanted to know how to choose better alternatives when they made purchases.
They wanted products that were good for them & the planet.
 Then came the Trademark ....."The Kiss" was evolving & the artwork formed the basis of the business side.
To protect my vision & intellectual property it was trademarked.
 Then came markets, fairs and presentations .....In order to teach people about alternatives I did alot of product research.
Then I was off to local markets & eco events to spread the word & share my wonderful wares.
Soon I was also giving talks & presentations to help share this information.
My three daughters work with me which eldest daughter Courtney worked alongside me & has researched and tested our baby products.
 And so the webstore was born .....Meeting alot of tourists meant I needed to create a way for them to keep in contact & obtain our products.
The name Kiss and Carry was used for the webstore as we focus on many products that are used when you are out & about when it is harder to make alternative choices.
We have retained our core aim of education & inspiration, so every purchase contributes to this work.
When you make a purchase from Kiss and Carry you give a "kiss" and show it is possible to love you and love the earth when you shop.
Over time .....
We have added to our range & I hope our ongoing product research makes it easier for you to make an eco-friendly choice.
